Working in the Heat: How Geninc Brand Ambassadors Kept Going

Over the past two weeks, France and Belgium recorded extreme temperatures, up to 40°C.
Going into the field was a real challenge. Here's how Geninc teams adapted, and what it says about their commitment.
Scorching heat across France and Belgium. Temperatures peaking at 40°C, relentless sun from early morning, and the kind of heaviness that makes every trip harder. While many chose to stay indoors, Geninc Brand Ambassadors continued their work. And that says everything.
Field work doesn't stop when the thermometer rises
Being a Brand Ambassador at Geninc means presence and contact — every day. Clients are there, sales points are open, missions continue. Our teams adapted quickly: wide-brim hats, water bottles refilled throughout the day, shade breaks between visits, schedules slightly adjusted to avoid peak heat hours.
5 tips for working outdoors in extreme heat
1 — Cover your head
A hat or wide-brim cap is your first line of defence against direct sunlight. Choose lightweight, breathable materials.
2 — Drink before you're thirsty
Thirst already signals dehydration. Plan at least 1.5L of water for a half-day in the field and drink regularly.
3 — Plan shade breaks in advance
Identify shaded spots along your route — covered terraces, canopies, parks — and schedule your breaks around them.
4 — Shift your schedule when possible
Heat peaks between 12pm and 4pm. Move the most physical visits to late afternoon.
5 — Listen to your body
Dizziness, persistent headache, nausea: these are warning signs. Never hesitate to get into the shade and notify your manager.
A commitment worth recognising
These two weeks perfectly illustrate what it means to be a BA at Geninc: adapting, showing resilience, and continuing to represent the brand professionally — even when conditions make it hard.
To every field team member in France and Belgium: thank you. Your dedication is Geninc's greatest asset.
